Supply chain procurement automation platform for Covalent AI

We built an AI platform that cut 80% of admin work for supply chain teams by automating workflows using fine-tuned LLMs and machine learning.

Powering procurement with AI

Covalent AI (now acquired by a competitor) is an AI-powered platform that automates repetitive workflows for supply chain procurement teams. We first validated the idea by building a proof of concept and then developed a minimum viable product (MVP) from scratch. We utilized various machine learning (ML) algorithms and fine-tuned large language models (LLMs) to automate various workflows. We designed an innovative architecture that enhanced the system’s automation accuracy based on increased usage and customer feedback.

Experience the transformation:

Reinventing supply chain workflows

Supply chain teams that procure materials spend a significant amount of time performing manual tasks via email and legacy systems. They request quotes and perform labour-intensive manual data entry from email documents into manufacturing ERP systems.

Covalent AI, a venture-backed San Francisco company, sought to collaborate with an AI-proficient team to address this challenge and transform the solution into a platform that various manufacturers could utilize.

Result: 80% of purchasing tasks automated

After completing our discovery and understanding the redundancies in administrative tasks within supply chain procurement, we identified that Covalent AI could utilize LLMs in conjunction with an innovative software architecture that not only automates workflows but also generates useful signals, alerting the procurement team to potential problems before they arise.

We built out Covalent AI’s platform from scratch. We successfully manage to automate 80% of all administrative tasks associated with purchaseing. With scale, we identified nuances of LLMs, which we solved by leveraging LLM fine-tuning and various classical machine learning algorithms. We provided steady-state development until a competitor acquired Covalent AI.

Wizard Labs was an exceptional partner to us.
